We believe...
We believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to mankind. It is divine instruction for us. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21.
We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended up to heaven and will return again to gather His Bride, the Church. Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5, John 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13.
We Believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. 2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18.
We believe humanity is made in the image of God. Although God designed us to have fellowship with Him, we became alienated from God through disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin against God. We are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through our own efforts. Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:22-23, 5:12; 6:23, Colossians 1:21, Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19.
We believe salvation is God’s gift to you if you’ll accept it. We can never make up for our sin with self-improvement or good works. It is only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness that one can be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith. John 1: 12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8- 10, 1 Peter 1: 18-19.
We believe that once saved believers are kept by God's power through faith unto salvation and are secure in Christ forever. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation but their salvation remains secure for eternity. John 6:37-40 10:27-30, Romans 8:1, 38-39, 1 Corinthians 1:4-8, 1 Peter 1:4-5, Romans 13:13-14, Galatians 5:13, Titus 2:11-15.
We believe the local church has been commissioned by God to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, and ethnicity who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors for Christ we must use all available means to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ from our local communities to foreign lands and nations. We should not sit idly by waiting for weary souls to come unto us. Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:2 1, Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20.
We believe, as Christians and as stewards of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to us, we are to support our local church through prayer, service and giving. Christians are to give sacrificially and cheerfully in service and supporting the church, providing relief of those in need, and spreading of the Gospel. Genesis 14:20, Proverbs 3:9-10, Acts 4:34-37, 1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, Galatians 6:6, Ephesians 4:28, 1 Timothy 5:17-18, 1 John 3:17.
